Raheem Sterling has been dropped from the England squad for the games against Ukraine and Scotland. Southgate revealed Sterling is “not particularly” happy about being dropped from the squad. The England manager praised Sterling’s form at home and said he expected the winger to have “an excellent season with Chelsea”, but added that he “don’t think anyone in this group of attacking players needs to be left out”.
