How to watch Joshua vs Ngannou? TV channels confirmed heavyweight bout

The broadcasters for Anthony Joshua’s boxing match with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou have been announced.

Joshua, 34, will fight Ngannou, 37, in Riyadh on March 8, five months after the Cameroonian made his boxing debut in the same Saudi city.

Ngannou, who vacated the UFC heavyweight title when he left the promotion in early 2023, defeated Tyson Fury in October before losing a controversial decision to the unbeaten Brit. Fury’s WBC title was not at stake in this fight.

Ngannou will soon return to Riyadh for another clash with a Brit as he continues his boxing adventure against two-time Unified Champion “AJ”.

On Monday (February 19) it was announced that the fight will be broadcast live on Dazn and Sky Sports in the UK, with both networks broadcasting the match on pay-per-view. The price for the event has not yet been determined.

Joshua last fought in December, stopping Otto Wallin in Riyadh, giving the 2023 Olympic gold medalist three wins from three fights. In April, AJ outsmarted Jermaine Franklin and in August he stopped Robert Helenius.

Ngannou’s split decision loss to Fury marked his professional debut in the sport, while he last fought in mixed martial arts in January 2022, retaining the UFC heavyweight title against his ex-teammate Ciryl Gane.

Ngannou, who defeated Gane via decision but is known as a knockout specialist, signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) after leaving the UFC. The Cameroonian has yet to debut in the PFL, as the MMA promotion’s founder and chairman Donn Davis said The Independent last week: “I am 100 percent confident that Francis will fight MMA for PFL – not just once, but multiple times.”

Ngannou is also chairman of PFL Africa. The company is expected to launch an African league in 2025.
