Devils’ Jack Hughes returns to practice after suffering a shoulder injury


New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes On Friday he returned to training for the first time since his right shoulder injury two weeks ago.

According to the statement, Hughes was back at the helm alongside Erik Haula and Curtis Lazar Team reporter Amanda Stein.

Hughes, 22, crashed into the boards during a game against the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 3 and has missed five games. At the time, he led the NHL with 20 points (five goals and 15 assists) in 10 games.

Hughes set career highs last season with 43 goals and 56 assists and 99 points in 78 games.

The Devils went 2-3-0 without Hughes and next host the New York Rangers on Saturday.
