The Toronto Maple Leafs called me back to the front Pontus Holmberg from the Toronto Marlies of the AHL, the team announced Friday.

In a corresponding move, the team added a defender Simon Benoit to the Marlies.
The 24-year-old Holmberg scored five goals and eight assists in 37 games for the Maple Leafs last season. In two games for the Marlies this season, he has one goal and one assist.
Benoit has not played a game for Toronto this season. The 25-year-old defenseman spent last season with the Anaheim Ducks, where he scored three goals and seven assists in 78 games.
