The Penguins are strengthening their staff with former Senators assistant GM Trent Mann

Kyle Dubas continues to make a remake Pittsburgh Penguins‘ Front office, hiring former Ottawa Senators Assistant GM Trent Mann has been named player development and scouting advisor, the club announced Saturday.

Mann was fired by the Senators in July, six months after his brother Troy was fired by the club as head coach of the American Hockey League farm team.

The firing of Troy Mann was a shock as he had led the Belleville Senators to a 150-117-15-7 record in 289 games behind the bench.

Dubas, the former GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs, was hired by the Penguins as president of hockey operations on June 1 before also being given the title of general manager.
