Waiver report: Maple Leafs lose Lagesson to Ducks, Senators claim Katchouk


The Anaheim Ducks claimed defense attorney William Lagesson from waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafswhile Ottawa Senators claimed wingers Boris Katchouk from waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday.

Lagesson, 28, was a defensive player for the Leafs and slipped on the defensive charts after the team acquired Ilya Lyubushkin and Joel Edmundson in recent trades.

Lagesson had four assists in 30 games for the Leafs this season and one assist in five games for the AHL Marlies.

The 25-year-old Katchouk had five goals and four assists in 38 games for the Blackhawks this season.

The Florida Panthers made the final waiver claim of the day and added the defenseman Tobias Björnfot from that Vegas Golden Knights.
