UFC: Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2 cards complete as title fight headlines

Alexa Grasso will defend the UFC women’s flyweight title against Valentina Shevchenko this weekend, nine months after dethroning the longtime champion.

Grasso defeated Shevchenko in the fourth round in March, ending the Kyrgyz fighter’s five-year reign at the top of the division – as well as her nine-fight winning streak.

The 30-year-old Grasso became only the second Mexican champion in UFC history and is now the only reigning titleholder in her country.

Can 35-year-old Shevchenko reverse Saturday’s result? Fans will find out when she and Grasso headline a Fight Night event in Las Vegas – a rare move for the UFC, which typically puts title fights on pay-per-views.
